Order Processing & Production

Kanyo M Atelier operates as a slow fashion brand. Each piece is therefore produced
or prepared only after an order has been confirmed through successful payment.

All orders therefore enter a production and processing phase of seven (7) to ten (10)
business days before dispatch. This period excludes weekends, public holidays,
and peak seasonal periods.

This timeline reflects the made-to-order nature of our garments and is an essential
part of our production model. Once production is complete and the order has been dispatched, a shipping confirmation email with tracking information will be sent to the customer.

Kanyo M Atelier reserves the right to extend production timelines during periods of high demand, with reasonable notice to the customer where applicable.

Production Commencement

Production of an order begins immediately upon confirmation of successful
payment. By completing a purchase, the customer expressly acknowledges and agrees that production is initiated specifically for their order and cannot be reversed, paused, or reassigned once materials and manufacturing processes have commenced.

Made-To-Order Finality 

All products are made-to-order unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Once an order has entered production, it cannot be cancelled, modified, or
refunded on the basis of change of mind, delay in personal need, or preference
change.

This clause does not affect statutory rights relating to faulty or defective items as outlined in the Refund Policy.

Shipping Methods & Delivery Estimates

Estimated delivery times are as follows:

  • Domestic Shipping (Botswana & SADC Region): 5–10 business days
  • International Shipping: 7–14 business days

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Kanyo M Atelier shall not be liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs clearance processes, or any circumstances beyond its control.

International Shipping, Duties & Taxes

All international orders and orders made with SADC region may be subject to
customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees imposed by the destination
country.

These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Kanyo M Atelier has no control over these charges and cannot estimate them.

Customers are advised to contact their local customs office for further information prior to placing an order.

Shipping costs are non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to returns, refused shipments, unclaimed packages, or failure to pay customs duties.

Failed Delivery: Refused OR Unclaimed Packages

If a package is refused, unclaimed, or not delivered due to the customer’s failure to
pay duties or provide accurate delivery information:

  • The package will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Kanyo M Atelier does not guarantee the return or re-shipment of such packages.
  • Where the package is successfully returned, store credit may be issued at the sole discretion of Kanyo M Atelier, less any shipping and handling costs incurred. 
  • Kanyo M Atelier shall not be held liable for any loss arising from refused or unclaimed shipments.

Risk of Loss & Title Transfer

All orders become the responsibility of the customer once they have been handed over to the shipping carrier. Risk of loss, damage, or delay transfers to the customer upon dispatch.

Missing, Lost, or Stolen Packages

Once a shipment has been accepted by the carrier and/or marked as delivered:

  • Kanyo M Atelier shall not be liable for any missing, lost, or stolen packages.
  • The customer assumes full responsibility for liaising directly with the shipping carrier to resolve such issues.

Kanyo M Atelier may, at its discretion, assist the customer by providing shipping documentation or contacting the carrier; however, this does not constitute acceptance of liability.

Shipping Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all shipping information provided at checkout is accurate and complete. 

Kanyo M Atelier shall not be liable for orders shipped to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer. 

Any additional costs incurred due to incorrect address details will be the responsibility of the customer.
