Our Founder

Boikanyo Molale is a marketing and advertising professional turned fashion designer whose creative vision was shaped by an early appreciation for beauty and its power to transform environments.

Born and raised in Botswana, he developed a deep desire to create elegance, meaning, and emotional resonance through design.

In 2017, Boikanyo founded Kanyo M—a brand rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and cultural custodianship. Through his work, he preserves and reinterprets the stories of his people: their way of life, traditions, and the collective cultural memory that defines them. These narratives are translated into intentional design, bringing a distinctly African perspective into global conversation.

Reflecting on his journey, Molale shares

"Fashion gave me more than expression—it gave me purpose. Through it, I tell stories about my people, our way of life, and our treasures. More importantly, it allows me to contribute to the lives of others across cultures, using clothing as a medium of connection."

This philosophy continues to guide his work—placing beauty in dialogue with memory and identity, and treating every garment as a quiet yet powerful act of storytelling.
