Refund policy
General Conditions
All returns must comply with the conditions set out below. Kanmol Enterprises (Pty) Ltd, therein referred to as Kanyo M Atelier, reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in resalable condition.
- Items must have all original tags attached and be returned in original packaging.
- Items must be free from any scents (including perfume), makeup marks, stains, or damage.
Any item that does not meet these conditions will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
Domestic Return (Botswana & SADC Region)
This policy applies only to orders delivered within Botswana and the SADC region (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, Mauritius, Lesotho, Malawi, Tanzania, Seychelles, Madagascar, and Eswatini).
Return window: Within ten (10) shipping service days (Monday to Saturday), calculated from the confirmed delivery date.
Returns received after this period will not be accepted and will be sent back to the customer.
Customers are responsible for all return and exchange shipping costs.
Exchanges are permitted for domestic orders ONLY and are subject to stock
availability.
International Returns:
- Return window: Within fourteen (14) shipping service days (Monday to
Saturday), calculated from the confirmed delivery date. - Returns received after this period will not be accepted and will be sent back to
the customer. - Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
- Exchanges are not available for international orders.
Additional requirements:
- Kanyo M Atelier does not provide return shipping labels for international orders.
- Customers must arrange their own shipping method for returns and exchanges.
- All international returns must include a valid tracking number.
- Shipping insurance is strongly recommended.
Return Process
To initiate a return or exchange, customers must:
- Email kanyomolale@gmail.com within the applicable return window.
- Provide the order number, a brief reason for return and a photo or two showing the defect/fault.
For faulty and/or defected items, customers must also include clear photos showing the defect. Returns sent without prior approval may be refused.
Faulty Items
An item is considered faulty if:
- It is damaged upon delivery; or
- It has a manufacturing defect.
Items damaged due to misuse, wear and tear, or improper care are not considered faulty.
Faulty items must be reported within ten (10) days of delivery.
Final Sale Items
The following items are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange under any circumstances:
- Items discounted by 30% or more
- Items marked “Final Sale”
If such items are returned, they will be sent back to the customer at the customer’s expense.
Non-Returnable Items
Returns and Exchanges will not be accepted for:
- Items showing any signs of wear, use, or damage
- Items with stains, odors, or cosmetic marks
- Items returned outside the specified return window
- Items not purchased directly from Kanyo M Atelier
Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method or as store
credit, at the discretion of Kanyo M Atelier.
Refunds will be processed within eight (8) business days after approval.
Customers will be notified once the return has been inspected and approved or rejected.
Items purchased using a gift card will be refunded as store credit only.
Shipping Costs
All return and exchange shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. These costs are non-refundable.
Cancellation Policy
Orders may be cancelled within twelve (12) hours of placement. Cancellations requested after this period will not be accepted.
Governing Law
This policy and any transactions or disputes arising out of or in connection with purchases from Kanyo M Atelier shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Botswana.
Juristiction
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this policy, including its interpretation, validity, enforcement, or breach, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Botswana.
By purchasing from Kanyo M Atelier, the customer expressly agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of these courts.
Dispute Resolution
Kanyo M Atelier encourages customers to first seek resolution by contacting us directly at kanyomolale@gmail.com.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, Kanyo M Atelier reserves the right to determine the appropriate course of action, including but not limited to defending any claim in a competent court of law within Botswana.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kanyo M Atelier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the purchase, use, or inability to use any product.
Kanyo M Atelier’s total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the item in question.
Chargebacks & Fraud Protection
By completing a purchase, the customer agrees to first contact Kanyo M Atelier to resolve any issue before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Where a chargeback is initiated without prior attempt at resolution:
- Kanyo M Atelier reserves the right to provide proof of delivery, customer communication, and this policy to the payment provider to contest the claim.
- The customer may be restricted from making future purchases.
- Any fraudulent or bad-faith chargebacks may be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law.
